Abnormal Growth Of Hair In Women

Hair Growth - Hair loss is a devastating problem for any woman, but there is also a disease that causes the opposite equally uncomfortable and inadequate. This is the abnormal growth of body hair. During the passage from childhood to puberty the female body begins producing the hormones responsible for the development of sexual organs. These hormones are also responsible for the growth of hair.

The characteristics of hair depend on genetic and ethnic factors. For example, in women, "Mediterranean" the hairs on your arms and legs tend to be larger than women of Asian origin, while in the "European" hair usually remains at a medium level. - Hair Growth

Abnormal Growth Of Hair In Women

Today the presence of hairs visible on the female body is considered to be highly unsightly. For this, the hair is a recurring appointment in the daily life of every woman. This is a custom so deeply rooted in our society that is virtually impossible to see legs around the hair or wool to the present day.

However, what for some is just a small annoyance, easily solved in minutes, for women suffering from abnormal growth of hair translates into a nagging problem and difficult to solve. This phenomenon may be caused by several factors, the most effective solution varies depending on the underlying causes. The most common causes of abnormal growth of hair are as follows:

Androgen Metabolism - The skin and some fat cells can turn weak forms of male hormones, called androgens, in forms stronger. The Metabolism of Androgens cause an increase abnormal hair when certain skin cells convert testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT).

Increased production of androgens - testosterone production by the ovaries is a natural occurrence in female sexual development. At the same so, the adrenal glands normally produce sulfate dehydroepiandrosterone. When these glands to increase Abnormal production of these substances, the result can be a massive growth of body hair. However, this phenomenon is most often caused by a dysfunction of the ovarian glands alone.

Decrease of Androgen Ties - The levels of hormones in the body are kept stable by a complex physiological mechanism. The liver produces a substance called binding globulin (SHBG), which forces the testosterone into an inactive form. Estrogen stimulates the liver to produce SHBG, and this reduces the number of free androgens in the body. Androgens, in turn, decrease the SHBG in the blood. A decrease in estrogen causes a decrease in SHBG and ease the increase in free androgen blood. A greater number of free androgens causes an increase in hair growth.

Exogenous Androgens - Hormonal therapies (Estratest, Danazol), treatments for muscle development (such as anabolic steroids and substances additional body-building) or some therapies contraceptives (birth control pills containing norgestrel), can promote the abnormal growth of hair. Also Some skin creams based hormone (it's cream; special treatment) can be absorbed by the skin and enter the bloodstream causing the same effect.

The first thing to do in case of abnormal growth of hair is to consult your doctor. With a simple blood test can pinpoint the cause of the problem and choose the most suitable treatment.
However, while it is possible to identify the cause and resolve the problem of abnormal growth of hair in the long run, the hairs produced by hormonal changes and already present before the treatment will be removed with traditional methods of hair removal or waxing. - Hair Growth
